Deluxe Option

with Personalised Disc.
our DVD can be divided into a maximum of 3 sections.
Each section containing either a sequence of photographic images, a sequence of video clips or a sequence of images & clips.
The name you give to each section appears on screen prior to the beginning of that sequence.
ypically the amount of image processing we undertake depends
on the quality & format of the images supplied and the number of creative effects you want applied to them:-
All the prints and slides you supply are scanned at high resolution and are digitally enhanced to remove any small imperfections revealed by the scanning process - as standard;
Where prints and slides have significant dust, hair or colour-fading problems - you can opt for these images to receive extra digital restoration;
Please Note:
Images requiring major restoration should be digitally enhanced by a specialist photographic restorer prior to being sent to Ginger Tom Studios.
Where an image has an unsightly "red eye" problem you can opt to have this rectified;
The extra creative effects that can be optionally applied to your images are:-
Border Effect - A black border is added to the picture to ensure all the image is shown on screen. Unfortunately without making this adjustment some of the content is lost when viewed on TV;
Pan Movement Effect - Allows the most important sections of an image to be seen on screen by smoothly moving the focus (i.e. panning) from one part to another;
Image Caption - Gives you the option of adding some text to an image at the bottom of the screen;
Please Note: An image can have either the Border Effect or the Movement Effect applied to it - but not both effects in combination.
ne of the most challenging parts of designing a DVD that stands up to viewing over and over again,
is choosing which video clips to use from all the footage you have available.
The saying "less is more" is good advice when it comes to video editing. Be as ruthless as you can be, and it's unlikely that you'll regret any of the decisions you make.
Leave in content you're not sure about and you'll almost definitely be disappointed.
You'll be pleased to know that a title of your choosing can be added to the beginning of any of your video clips to introduce the material. This is particularly effective for longer video segments.
When specifying a video clip we ask that you provide the start and end time positions as accurately as possible. Please make sure you fully rewind
the video tape and reset the clock to zero, where necessary, before undertaking this exercise.
e strongly recommend you add background music to all sequences containing still images and to those video sequences where there is little or no dialogue.
Also, replacing a video clip's original audio recording with a track from our music library can sometimes help you avoid copyright issues and allow you to use video footage that otherwise could not be included.
(Please Note: Whenever background music is added to a video clip this will always replace the original audio track.)
A different music track can be added to each group of images and to each video clip on your DVD. Our music library contains pieces in a wide range of styles - ensuring we can add just the right track to your visual content.
Dividing lengthy video content into a number of shorter video clips can often make adding background music much easier.
Wherever possible, Ginger Tom Studios will time the transition from one still image to the next to match the rhythm of the background music - greatly adding to the emotional impact.
f your DVD project will be using a substantial
amount of content you may need to take account of the following project limits:-
20 video clips per DVD project (maximum);
3 video tapes per DVD project (maximum);
90 minutes of edited video content per DVD project (maximum);
When you want to include more content than these project limits allow - we recommend you consider organising your material into two or more
DVD projects.
